Doha: ICC holds beach cleaning event at Al Wakra

Doha, Dec 19: For all Indians, Qatar is their second home, on the occasion of Qatar National Day, Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) organized a beach cleaning at Al Wakra family beach with the active participation of the Indian community.

Several members represented various affiliated organizations participated and the ICC Youth wing planned and executed the entire programme.

Dr Deepak Mittal, ambassador of India to Qatar, and Salem Saad Al Sahli, head of maintenance of Al Wakra Municipality participated in the event. Deepak Mittal appreciated and thanked the efforts of the Indian community and Al Wakra Municipal authorities for active participation, support, and on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The beach cleaning activity is a great way of showing to Qatar and authorities, about the commitment as responsible residents of the Indian community in a way of giving back to the nation for what all are getting and by staying in Qatar.
