Mangalore: Lourdes Hosts Annual Sports Day ‘We are the Sports Stars’

Mangalore, Nov 29: Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Mangalore secondary and senior secondary hosted ‘We are the Sports Stars’ at Mangala Stadium on Monday November 29.

Dr Victor Machado, manager, LCS presided over the annual sports day celebration.

In his presidential address he said that sports make children face life with more strong attitude and also competently.

Dinesh P Naikavde YSM group commander was the chief guest. Dr Kishore Kumar C K Mangalore University was the guest of honour at the inaugural ceremony declared the sports meet open.

Under the age group 14 and 19 girls of handball team were felicitated. Seeliya Simmith was also felicitated for securing silver medal roller skating camp organized by CBI at Hyderabad.

Various track events, field events and mass drill among others were conducted.

PTA president Ivan D’Souza felicitated Seeliya Simmith and lauded her achievement. Grace Noronha, principal of the school welcomed the gathering and delivered the vote of thanks.
