Riyadh: Scanning of Covid-19 app mandatory before entering malls

Riyadh, Dec 28: The authorities in health care department of the kingdom made it mandatory for all the shoppers who enter malls, complexes and commercial centres to scan the Covid 19 app to make sure that they are vaccinated.

Abdulrahman Al-Hussein, spokesman for ministry of commerce said that the shoppers should scan the barcode through the Tawakkalna app before entering commercial places.

The spokesperson also said that the commercial establishments must keep health verification permits at the entrance and also make sure that the consumers scan the barcode before entering.

Manual verification needs to be done at small time shoppers like local groceries, barber shops, tailors and laundries.

Except for those who are permitted not to get vaccinated due to health complications, all others should get vaccinated if they want to enter public places.
