Dubai: Emirate announces strict guidelines for New Year’s Eve celebrations

Dubai, Dec 29: A fine of Dh 3000 will be slapped on anyone not wearing the mask during the New Year’s Eve celebration in the city. The authorities took out an order in this regard on Tuesday.

A meeting was held by the Crisis and Disaster Management Committee, which reviewed the preparations of festivities for the New Year’s Eve celebrations. It also chalked out the guidelines and precautions for the celebrations.

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairperson of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of crisis and disaster management said that every member of the community should stringently observe the preventive guidelines that are chalked out. Wearing of face masks and observing social distancing is a must to protect families and others.

Time and again the health department of the emirate is imposing stringent guidelines of safety and health in order to combat Omicron scare. Due to these efforts of the government, the emirate is successful in battling the Covid pandemic.
