Mangaluru, Dec 29: Artistes of Yakshagana, who were just recovering from the ill-effects of Covid lockdown, are once again put to hardship due to the night curfew imposed by the government on the pretext of spread of Omicron virus.
The status of Yakshagana troupes was miserable in the past two years due to lockdown. Even this year the usual season got delayed. But the troupes and artistes were hopeful that they can earn their living till the end of May. However, due to the imposition of night curfew till January 7, vital time and financial benefits of the artistes are taken away from them.
