Hubballi, Dec 30: “If seniors will be removed from the state cabinet as a rule of the party, I am ready to give up my position. I am a party worker, who abides by the orders of the party without fail,” said Rural Development minister Eshwarappa.
Reacting to the statement of political secretary of the chief minister, Renukacharya that senior ministers have to be dropped from the cabinet, Eshwarappa said, “I will be the first one to resign if the party takes a decision to drop the senior ministers. I will work with utmost happiness for the party.”
When the scribes asked Eshwarappa whether he is ready to give up his position by himself without the party asking for it, the minister said, “If you had come to politics, you would have known about this issue. Only those who are in politics know how good or bad power is.
“State president of the party has given the responsibility of backward communities to me. State level executive of backward classes will be held at Shivamogga on January 5,” he said.
