Thousands Throng Old Goa for Annual St Francis Xavier Feast

Panaji, Dec 3: Thousands of faithfuls from all walks of life thronged Basilica of Bom Jesus church in Old Goa to celebrate the annual feast of St Francis Xavier on Friday, December 3.

Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Archbishop of Mumbai headed the high mass proceedings along with Archbishop of Goa and Daman Filipe Neri Ferrao.



Around 15,000 people attended each of 11 masses on the feast day taking the overall number of faithfuls to around 1,65,000.

The feast mass was attended by Chief minister Digambar Kamat along with PWD minister Churchill Alemao, Home minister Ravi Naik, Forest minister Philip Neri Rodrigues, Tourism minister Nilkanth Halarnkar and others.
