Bangalore Girl Nicole Faria Crowned Miss Earth 2010

Vietnam, Dec 4 (TNN): Miss India Earth 2010 Nicole Faria has made India proud by winning the 2010 Miss Earth crown. The 10th edition of the Miss Earth beauty pageant was held in Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang, Vietnam on December 4, 2010.

Nicole Faria hails from Bangalore and is in fact the first woman from India to win Miss Earth.

Miss Puerto Rico Yeidy Bosquez was announced Miss Earth Fire and Miss Ecuador Jennifer Pazmino won the Miss Earth Air title. Miss Thailand Watsaporn Wattanakoon grabbed the Miss Earth Water crown.

Nicole also won the 2010 Miss Earth Talent Competition.

Talking about Nicole, Miss India World 2010, Manasvi Mamgai said, "I feel very happy for her. This is the only title India has won this year, so it's great. Nicole has got the looks, so we all had expectations that she would win."

During an interview, Nicole said, "I want to make friends and enjoy my time in Vietnam. It's not about winning or losing, but how you play the game." She has played her game right indeed!

    I am neither a supporter nor a detractor of beauty contest....

    However I would like to quote a quote of late JH Patel, former Chief Minister of Karnataka who was famous for his wits...

    "Bichuvavaru bichhali Noduvavaru Nodali".

    Translated roughly in to english it reads "Those who want to expose, let them expose those who want to see lets them see".

    Finally I recommend, Mr M Azharuddin former Indian Cricket Captain and present CONgress MP deserve to be a judge to all future beauty Contests in the world.....

    Dear Samira sister, after all what is your problem on this matter? If u can't see her belly, better pls close ur eyes. Its none of ur business to comment on others moral, first of all she is not from ur religion, eventhough if she is from ur religion, its none of ur business to interfere in this matter. As a muslim woman, i knew better how is some of muslim sisters moral (offcourse not all) as some one mentioned here "all pharda ki peeche". Pls try to be in broad soceity or be keep queit. This is 21st century, flesh trading are since our prophets time or even before, no one able to stop it. Its better to be perfect ourself and just be blind about world affairs. After all religion, moral activites, etc etc purely personal matter, no one should interfer.....god bless all of us.

    Rasheed what is shame to you may not shame to others. For some drinking alchole is acceptable and for others it is not. Everybody has their own choice.

    Belly exposure was long long time existed even during Mogal time and still in Arabian culture. Now at present Indian girls have become more & more bold and are even go out of India for employment as single girls. Many boys accept this. So it is acceptable.
