Mangaluru: ‘2023 year of Congress’ says KPCC president D K Shivakumar

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jan 5: “People of Karnataka have decided to throw out BJP from power. This is reflected in the recent elections that were held in the state. In the coming legislative assembly elections, Congress will get a clear majority. Thereby 2023 will be ‘Year of Congress’,” said KPCC president D K Shivakumar.

Responding to the accusation of BJP that Ramanagara incident proves goondaism of Congress, Shivakumar said, “The Ramanagara incident has shown the ‘Vishwaroopa’ of BJP. A minister should be aware of what to speak in the presence of the chief minister (CM). Though Bommai was making hand signs towards minister Ashwath Narayan not to use derogatory words, he continued his speech. BJP does not have a base in Ramanagara. So they are trying to put Congress in a bad frame in the minds of people. But due to this incident, BJP has lost a meagre number of votes that they had in the district.”

Giving his opinion on the Mekedatu issue and proposed foot march of Congress which is ridiculed by BJP as political gimmicks, Shivakumar said, “BJP calls ministers and holds Rathyatra. It is okay with them. When Congress fights for some genuine cause it is wrong. They are trying to stop our foot march using their power. Let CM start work on Mekedatu. We will support him.”

Speaking on the plan of Congress for next assembly elections, Shivakumar said, “We will make voters aware of the failure of the BJP government in all aspects of administration. They said that they will double the income of farmers. Every day the people of Karnataka are getting pickpocketed. Price of Petrol, Gas and Diesel is rising every day. They are saying that they have provided crop destruction compensation. Let them say to whom they have given?”

2023 will be a year of resort politics. i agree with DKS that Congress will come to power. However, they will not be able to remain in power for the full 5 years. There is too much disunity amongst Congressman. The dalit leaders will push for Dalit CM, Kurubas and minorities will bat for another term for Siddu. Vokkaligas would want DKS as cheif minister. i am sure Congress will implode midway. some of the Congressmen will be victims of Operation Kamala. All in all people have to brace for instability in governance.

With no hope of retaining power in Punjab , and in the remaining 4 states which are going for assembly election , where Congress may not even cross single digit number., Karnataka will only be the hope in 2023. This situation forbades a dangerous future for Karnataka, as the only source of funding for Congress has to come from Karnataka apart from Rajasthan, where it is surviving with thin majority. Kannadigas will have to be ready to shell out more than 40% commission as bribe which is present going rate to get any work done or to get a tender

This news is music to hears. Warm welcome to Congress in 2023. Immediately after coming into power, the Congress should bring into effect 'Anti-Purchase of MLAs Bill' in order to earn their complete integrity to the mother party and the people of Karnataka State that they would serve. Jai Hind.
