Udupi, Dec 7: Former Congress legislator, U R Sabhapathy, will shortly be joining the JDS. This was stated by the district president of JDS, Deviprasad Shetty. Shetty informed that Sabhapathy had already held discussions on this issue with the JDS state president, H D Kumaraswamy.

Deviprasad Shetty further revealed that BJP leaders like T B Shetty from Kundapur, Sunil Kumar Shetty and Mahavir Jain from Karkala, as well as Babu Hegde and Suresh Shetty from Byndoor, have also discussed the issue of joining the JDS, with senior leaders of the party.

    Louis D'Souza, Udupi/Kuwait,

Whatever you have commented is true....

I know UR Sabhapathy since 1979, he is a good party worker and used to buy air tickets for Oscar in 1979 before he was MP....

Well Oscar did not support him because he did not wanted to offend Manorama Madhwaraj, so frustrated he contest against her as independendent candidate and narrowly lost against her...next assembly elections he contested from Bangarappa's KCP and defeated Manorama... then joined to Congress party and won against Raghupathy Bhat... next election lost against Raghupathy Bhat and ever since waiting for a come back...

While as ruling party(CONgress) MLA his behaviour was very arrogant like most CONgressmen and along with Mr Vasanth Salian of Kaup, was involved in ZP Couuruption scandel during SMK regime....

As a person good personal capacity to manage electrorate and party workeres, but while in power behaved like "Kallu Kudida Manga"...

In between started his own news paper called "Akshara" which closed the doors soon....

So I have mixed feelings about this guy....

I believe its better for him to sell Philips products in Udupi along with Krishnaraja Saralaya's "Pataki's"....

    Jai Hooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Even if he joins BJP no regrets, we voted for him few yrs ago, but he did not do anything for the constituency. During his relative’s marriage at Udupi they kept mike system even after 12pm. Local people complained to police, policemen went to the spot to stop the mike n this MLA slapped him. Then the Inspector of Udupi station Mr. Valentine D'Souza went and stopped the mike system. MLA tried his best to terminate him, but could not do anything more than transferring him. Whole public opposed the MLA. Since then this ex MLA is cornered. But brave Police officer was promoted soon and joined as Circle Inspector of Kundapura T.Q.

Signs looks to be positive for Kamaraswamy and looks to be a thin wave in favour of him. This thin air is likely to grow day by day and stronger and stronger and thats why people have statrted joing him.Bad for BJP and terribly bad for Congress.considering present scenerio Kumaraswamy is the top leader of karnataka and likely grow stronger and stronger.

As a indivitual he has no other choice other than joinng HDK.You never know could prove a good decision if he wins from South Kanara as in past he has mustered substantial no of votes and probably lost with few no of votes in a election. Good move from Kamar to get a leader from mangalore where JD(S) has no base.In politics everything is possible.Nevertheless Kumar is proving a elevated leader for the moment and real hero of Karnataka as state cong is inching towards nil and BJp has lost its face already.one can expect mass entries from other parties towarders kamar rather than towards jd

Good move by Sabhapathy. In case if BJP fails to regain power in the state, either BJP or congress need JDS to form the govt. Then Sabhapathy will get the fruitful chairmanship of some board.

Sabhapathi is a coastal leader and has won independently the udupi seat probably one of rarest of rare to win single handedly. In the absence of iota of charisma left in Karnataka Congress and major scandals hanging around in central government and state BJP governments HDK has emerged as mass leader of Karnataka and probably only leader who can attract masses indivitually in karnataka on his own irrespective of his party. No doubt more and more people like Sabhapathi will join him incoming days for sure as HDK is potential cm of future.

These people are nastiest people the world. Even a dog will have faithfulness to its master and obey his/her commandments. But these politicians especially who is in congress, JDS and BJP are so stupid’s and worst than prostitutes. They will eat even left over spoiled food for their money approach. All the politicians who change their faith or party for position or for power must be hanged and all citizens must kick them to death.

Now Mr. Sabapathy please don't tell that you changed the party to serve the people. Ultimately, all politicians are opportunists. You are no exception. In this regard, I would salute Mr. Poojary for his party loyalty! I am sure Mr. Poojary will be rewarded well one day.
