"Election Gimmick" !We are spening a lot just for VIP visits and to
bring loads of audience to mis/lead VIP's. Instead the money could have been spent for good cause by avoiding traffic problems to real voters who want solutions.

I fully agree with Chetan & Lalita that instead of calling VIPs and spending on them its better to uplift the poor and needy people of the society .All most all the police, govt staff will be busy in taking care of the VIP invitees at the cost of the common citizen.

hey Rajesh..who are you tell  " we are not taking part in this christian religious function"
You are NOT representing Hindu Konkani speaking people, because your mind is communally hatred. The great GSB leaders like Basti Vamana Shenoy, Dayananda Pai, and other GSB groups from Goa, Mumbai, Cochin have already taken part in the event. This is not only for Christians but for Hindus and Muslims too. Tomorrow, atleast 6 GSB leaders will get appareciation awards from Prez Patil.
You just sit quitely at home or road, no one is going to care for you...your own community also won't bother for you. You are a FROG in the well...and your full mind and heart is communally biased.

Jai ho Konkani which is spoken by Hindu - Christian and Muslims in India...
Jai ho Mandd Sobhann for organising historic event..

Change the name of the function as World Christian Konkani Convention. As konkani is spoken by hindus too and we are not taking part in this christian religious function, we donot authorise to use general term of Konkani to purport involvement in of hindus in this. This is sheer waste of public money and time. Use the money for better purpose.

    Welcome Mrs. President !!

Why the route is on the good roads? Why dont the organisers take some diversions and show all the pot holes, dirty works done by the municipality on the Mangalore roads. Atleast Mrs. Patil can take some firm actions on the parties involved in the construction of these roads...

All best regards for World Konkani Convention. But remember there are scheduled examinations and there may be some SOS cases which always required eye-opener.Closing all the main roads of the cities for one complete day in the name of security is a inevitable incovinience

    Dear All,

Instead of waste on waste and throwing hard earned money to the sea, it is advisable to use some percentage of this amount to influence and built a road NH17 Mangalore - Udupi road which is struggling for the past 5 years. Why not make this a success and Name it Mangalore Konkans - by which a whole of Mangalore residents can benefit.

I was in mangalore for a short trip in November & saw the patchwork on different roads being done religously to coincide with the Presidential visit. All these costs incurred at the stadium, security, chopper trips & other superficial expenses (not to mention the embezzlement of funds) can be better apportioned to build better roads, feed the hungry or on better education for the not so fortunate.

I think catholics are already doing that all around the world. This is the good cause for Konkani speaking people around the world. If this is the case you can also suggest eating food 3 times a day is also a waste, because 2nd day it is a waste.
