Udupi, Jan 6: Four girls, students of Koni high school of Kundapur taluk, displayed honesty of the highest order and returned Rs 10,000 they found on the road to their school teacher.
Shravya, Aishwarya J, Prasthuti and Vaishnavai are the four who handed over the money found on the road promptly to the head teacher of the school.
Elated by the good virtue shown by the students, the head teacher made this act viral on WhatsApp. The money belonged to Surekha of the same village, who used to work in the postal department.
The money was returned back to Surekha by the four girl students during the school assembly on Thursday January 6 morning. In return, Surekha distributed sweets to all students of the school and expressed her gratitude.
The head teacher said during the school assembly that the four girls have shown the honesty of highest order which should be role model to each and every student of the school. The teachers and general public have lauded the act of the four girls.
