Mangaluru, Jan 6: Due to weekend curfew and Covid restrictions, Daijiworld TV’s much-awaited mega stage show of Konkani programmes, ‘Konkani Sambhram-2’ is temporarily postponed. The media house will announce the new date soon once they get the nod for public events.
Earlier, the event was scheduled at St Agnes College Centenary Auditorium here on January 9 from 4 pm onwards.
"We planned the ‘Konkani Sambhram-2’ grand event to present awards to the winners of popular Konkani reality shows, ‘Daijiworld Duet Singing Stars', ‘MTG Gulf Edition' and ‘Phone In Sangeeta Taare'. Meanwhile, we decided to launch two brand new singing reality shows, a comedy show and the second season of the popular Konkani TV series ‘Mrs Meena and Family’ which will be aired on Daijiworld TV from March onwards. But due to the weekend curfew, we were forced to postpone the event temporarily. Once Covid restrictions are relaxed by the government, we will announce the new date," stated production in-charge of the show.
The final episode of Daijiworld Duet Singing Stars will be aired on Daijiworld TV on January 7 at 9 pm. But the results will be announced at ‘Konkani Sambhram-2’. However, the results of MCC Bank Ltd presents ‘Christmas Carols’ will be announced in the next week during the ‘Gayan and Gazali’ show.
