Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Jan 7: In a tragic incident, a two-wheeler rider died on the night of Thursday January 7 at Hedya on Kajur-Didupe Samse road in a freak accident.

The deceased has been identified as Raghu, a resident of Koyyur.

Raghu died after his neck got entangled in electricity wires that were lying on the road due to a fallen electricity pole.

Sources said that a pick-up vehicle which was transporting dry grass hit an electricity pole due to which four to five poles were uprooted and the wires were loosely hanging on the road. Raghu arrived on the same road from Didupe at around 11 pm. The loose wires entangled around Raghu's neck as he was riding and he got thrown on the road. He died on the spot.

It is not known whether electricity was still flowing in the wire when the accident took place.

The local police have registered a case and investigation is on.

Present government entangled citizens in communal issues so no one should raise the issues, those who raise are called anti nationalists. Now get the compensation and wait for another accident.

We don't have a system to handle people damaging public property. Pick-up vehicle owner should be fined for all the damages, from electricity poles to the death of victim.
