Daily Covid cases in Karnataka jump to 12,000, 4 deaths in a single-day

Bengaluru, Jan 9: Karnataka on Sunday, January 9 registered 12,000 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 49,602. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 9,020.

As many as 4 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,370.

The state recorded 901 discharges from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges to 29,63,957.

So far, Karnataka has seen 30,51,958 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 6.33% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.03 %.

As many as 8,96,56,794 people have received vaccination so far.

    4 deaths is nothing . people will die even otherwise ..These statistics is like a ruler without any marking ..everybody comes and pulls up his own lines according to his orchestration needs.

    Marvellous example Mr.Shetty. If everyday life had to be described by statisticians, mathematicians, chemists, physicists, biologists et al, life itself would become so convoluted nobody would be able to live. Life is simple , we live it using our innate senses and leave the rest to nature.
