Kaup, Jan 12: Activists of Hindu Jagarana Vedike on Wednesday January 12 reportedly thwarted the illegal transportation of cows and rescued 16 animals. The incident took place in Shirva.
Sixteen cows were reportedly being transported in a pickup truck and escorted by an Innova car decorated as a marriage vehicle. It is said that the escort car was being used to hoodwink the police and cow vigilantes.
Two cows died and four injured were injured.
The accused fled from the spot.
A case was registered at Shirva police station.
