Mangalore, Dec 13: Votrasi Imaging in association with The Ladies Club of Mangalore presented Votrasi Photo Expo 2010 at Ladies Club, Light House Hill, Mangalore on Sunday December 12.

Thousands of amateurs and professionals came under one banner to help each other share, opine and master their skills in photography.

The exhibition had two major roles viz to help budding amateurs to communicate their talent, help others to join in and share their talent with fellow photographers.

No member is being charged towards this exhibition as it is a complete non-profit platform. Ravi Posavanike, chief photojournalist, Times of India, Mangalore and Loretto Rebello, president, Ladies Club, Mangalore were the chief guest at the inaugural function.

It was a beautiful way to encourage the local talents. 'Votrasi' was a well-chosen name for this type of event. Keep it up, come with more exhibitions with different themes and award the best manual setting photograph. Each photograph should include the description of the manual settings like Speed, Focus, Filter etc. that showcases the individual talent of each photographer for a given subject. Auto camera photography is not an individual’s talent on the quality of lighting and blurring but a good frame of photograph.
