Bengaluru, Jan 16: With India completing one year of Vaccination drive against the Covid 19 pandemic, Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar on Sunday said the country was fully prepared to face the third wave.
"India has emerged as the model and leader worldwide in vaccination for the people. The administering of 156 doses of vaccine is an historical achievement. All the scientists who developed the vaccine within a short time, the pharmaceutical companies and health warriors deserve all the praise," he said.
While as many as 30 countries have not been able to vaccinate even 10% of their population, Karnataka has administered the first dose to 99% of people and 83% of the people have received both doses which is a stupendous achievement, Dr Sudhakar said.
