Karnataka's Covid tally rises by nearly 35K, thirteen deaths in single day

Bengaluru, Jan 16: Karnataka on Saturday, January 16 registered 34,047 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,97,982. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 21, 071.

As many as 13 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,431.

The state recorded 5,902 discharges from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges to 29,83,645.

So far, Karnataka has seen 32,20,087 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 19.29 % while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.03 %.

As many as 9,14,59,842 people have received vaccination so far.

    But recently released govt postal stamps say a different story hailing the govt’s technological advancements and achievements fighting against this pandemic. Was our state health minister Dr Sudhakar faking????….. The rise in numbers is released by his own health department bulletin. Is Dr Sudhakar the honourable health minister ready to clarify this???????…..

    Dont do unscientific lockdown/Weekend lockdowns...Even after 2 weekend lockdowns in Our state, then why cases are exponential high? Close all schools and colleges for 1 month because of cluster outbreak in schools and colleges.. Also ban all gatherings for 1 month or 2. Put police in public places to monitor whether people are following covid norms... Also police should announce in mic as 'Omicron is more dangerous virus' in cities and villages so that people will fear and follow covid norms.. Looks like 70 percent cases are showing false positive for Asymptomatic...If govt put more police in public place and if police monitored people strictly then cases and deaths would have been reduced. Due to shortage of medicines, wrong treatment and late treatments, more deaths are happening.
