Mangalore: ‘Premal Saanz’ to Pay Tribute to Wilfy Rebimbus

Mangalore, Dec 14: ‘Premal Saanz’, a musical concert by well-known Konkani singer Prem Kumar, will be held at Milagres parish grounds here on Sunday December 19 at 5.45 pm.  It was organized by Milagres parish tri-centenary committee. 
 
The concert will be dedicated to Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus by veteran singer Prem Kumar who has composed lyrics to16 songs as a tribute to his deeceased mentor.

Renowned singers Claude D’Souza, Ralph D’Souza, Zeena, Munita, Noushad from Mumbai who is known for his Kishore Kumar songs, and Ivan Sequeira will part take in the musical concert. 
 
Baila King Nigel Pereira and group will stage mesmerizing non-stop dance during the intervals.
 
The city’s popular comedy troupe ‘Me Mo Ry’ and Dolla Manglur will enthrall the audience with rib-tickling jokes.
 
Premal Ulo, Prem Kumar’s first Konkani musical CD consisting of 12 songs, will be released on the same occasion.
 
The CD was produced with the help of latest technology by Mumbai’s renowned music director Nakash Sargam in his studio at Mumbai. 
 
Mangalore diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu will preside over the programme.
 
Milagres parish priest Fr Walter D’Mello and office-bearers of the parish council have been working relentlessly to organize the musical concert.
 
The concert will begin at 5.45 pm and conclude at 9.00 pm on Sunday.
 
Ace compere Leslie Rego will conduct the musical extravaganza.
 
Entry to the concert will be free.  The organizers urged Konkani music buffs to attend the event in large numbers.

    We wholeheartedly support and endorse the views of many others that Mr. Premkumar and many many others have always been loyal friends and disciples of late Wilfy Rebimbos. These kind of observations from a distance attribute the leadership and friendship that late Wilfy Rebimbos believed in and practised throughout his simple and selfless life.

    We therefore wish best of success to Prem Kumar and many others so that they in turn continue their dedication and support to Meena Rebimbos as well as Veena and Viswas in all their future pursuits towards Konkany culture and Konkany society. Wilfy Rebimbos always valued the unity and cultural diversity in the Konkany society of Mangalore.

    Fr.Walter D'Mello was always a strong supporter of Wilfy Rebimbos and family while he was at the Jeppoo Seminary. Wilfy and Viswas has brought Fr.D'Mello to our house while in Mangalore. We therefore wish Prem Kumar and his team all the best in their future programs that will bring back the dreams and aspirations of late Wilfy Rebimbos.

    Wishing you and all your troupe for this maiden " PemalSanz". You and Ivan were the main key singers during inetial days and nites of Late Amar Konkan Kongul Wilfy Rebimbus. I request you to sing both of you to sing best compositon, duet song, of Late Amar Wilfy Rebimbus. Let It be a part of Premal Sanz. But it will be a great tribute to "Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus" who loved you both and gave best solo and duet number to you both.     Great News to Wilfybab’s and Prembab’s fans. Although "ಪ್ರೇಮಾಲ್ ಸಾಂಜ್" was d much ealier, glad to hear at it takes place prior to Wilfybab’s 1st year death anniversay. Once upon a time people used to say “ Without Prem’s presence, Wilfybab’s Nite is not a complete one” but now it is just the opposite case says your tributes to your deceased mentor - Konkan Kogul, Wilfy Rebimbus.
