Don't Remove Night Shelters, Apex Court Tells States


New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) The Supreme Court Wednesday asked state governments not to remove any night shelters for the homeless till the biting cold abates.

The court said that the night shelters should be retained till the end of February.

The apex court bench of Justices Dalveer Bhandari and Deepak Verma said the state governments could shift the night shelter to an alternate place under compelling circumstances.
