SEVA Presents 'Sargam' - Gala Christmas Evening at Brahmavar

Media Release

Udupi, Dec 17: It was just   a year ago that SEVA (Service Entertainment Vision Action) was taking shape in the minds of a few like-minded youth of Brahmavar vicinity. The seed which was sow on January 2, 2010 at Darbar 2010 with the inauguration of SEVA and formal launching of www.brahmavara.com has within a year blossomed into a premier forum which aims at bringing together Brahmavarites spread across the length and width of this little planet under the wings of www.brahmavara.com and unite them through Service Entertainment Vision Action (SEVA).

Darbar 2010, the first cultural bash hosted by SEVA not only proved to be a launch pad for www.brahmavara.com but it also helped SEVA in setting goals for the days to come with the vision of creating a united society that stands by each and everyone at every juncture, a society that yearns for the betterment of each individual irrespective of any barrier.

The enormous success of Darbar seems to have given confidence to the SEVA founders to stage yet another gala entertainment programme on Christmas evening this year. True to its name ‘SARGAM-2010’ will be a delicious blend of music, comedy and dance.

Just like the last year, SEVA has again romped in artistes who have proved their mettle over the years. Prakash Mahadevan is perhaps one of the most versatile singers who can belt out melodious songs irrespective of genre. He is indeed a precious talent given the fact that he can sing Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Tamil, Tulu, Malayalam songs with utmost ease. Add to it his capacity to capture audience with his unique stage presence. The audience often has a complete entertainment package on stage when Prakash Mahadevan is around. At SARGAM-2010 he will be ably supported by his equally-talented life partner Roopa Mahadevan. Sandesh and Jyothsna had become quite popular in Brahmavar area with their impressive performance at Music Masti-2007 and they are back this year at Sargam-2010 to delight the music buffs with their power-packed performance.

This will also be maiden opportunity for up and coming and immensely talented young local singer Prajoth D’Sa from Kallianpur. He has already lent his melodious voice to a couple of music albums including Eric Sons’ ‘VIYOL VINNYA SANGIM’ and he is all set to enchant the audience with his mellifluous singing.

Darbar had provided Vinay Lewis, the first-ever Gulf Voice of Mangalore winner, a stage to perform in front of his home audience and he will again be one of the star attractions of the evening. One of SEVA’s prime aims is to promote talent and they have taken a right step in this regard after extending invitation to new Konkani star, Gulf Voice of Mangalore II – Gladys Lorena from Kuwait. She has conquered the hearts of Konkani music lovers on her way to winning the Gulf Voice of Mangalore-II and she will add special flavor to the Christmas evening bash with some romantic and foot-tapping Konkani numbers.

Ocean Kids’ dancers are the proud owners of most fleeting feet in the region and they had the audience asking for more during Darbar. They will be back again to rock the Brahmavarites with their elegant performance during SARGAM-2010.

The combination of above talents and the super Master of Ceremony RJ Vishwas of Limca Records fame (Radio Mirchi FM)  - the compere who is so much in demand for his simple and unique style, will certainly keep the entertainment-lovers on their glued to their seats with his superb oratory skills.

All in all SARGAM-2010 promises to be a perfect Christmas gift with glittering performances under the banner of SEVA.
