Dubai: Amchigele Samaj Celebrates Annual Day with Thrilling Event

Dubai, Dec 18: The members of Amchigele Samaj, UAE, had an exhilarating annual day celebration with a day-long programme at hotel Renaissance here on Friday December 17.
Ravindra Prabhu lighted the lamp in a symbolic gesture and led the invocation, followed by 'Ganesha Vandane' by Vindya Pai, Prerna Pai and Aditi Prabhu. The audience were extended a warm welcome by president of the Samaj M Ramachandra Hegde.
There was also a brilliant saxophone performance by Sindhu Bhairavi and Macchidranath Puttur, which was well-liked by the audience. They were later felicitated by Ramachandra Hegde and Kalpana Hegde.
There were various other dance performances including 'Krishna' choreographed by Anjana Kamath and another one by Shilpa Kamath, performed by Krithi Kamath, Stuthi Kamath, Vibha Kamath, Shivani Pai, Vindya Pai, Prerna Pai, and Adithi Kamath.
The scholastic awards were also presented on the occasion to deserving students.

The sponsors of the event were felicitated, after which Ravindra Prabh, Venkatesh Rao, Harish Pai and Shobhana had the audience literally dancing to their tunes with some entertaining renditions.
The post-lunch session was enlivened by Mangalorean Sandhya Shenoy's superb stand-up comedy, which was followed by a felicitation in recognition of her talent.
Internationally renowned artiste Pravin Godkindi's Krishna troupe provided a classic performance which added an extra traditional touch to the event. He too was felicitated later.
After all that entertainment, it was time for a talk by Ganesh Rai, who was later honoured by Mahesh Prabhu.
Mimicry by Vasudev Kamath and Balaga had the audience in splits of laughter. Representatives of other organisations, the media and performers were also feted on the occasion.
Vice-president of the association Ramdas Kini proposed the vote of thanks. There was also a raffle draw that added an extra dose of excitement to the celebrations.
Mangalore's popular RJ Avinash Kamath (BIG FM), who flown in all the way from Mangalore compered the entire event.
