Mangalore, Dec 18: The platinum jubilee of the Casa Gaia Convent was celebrated at its premises in Angelore here on Saturday December 18.

Thanks giving Eucharist was celebrated at 11.00 am. Fr Ronnie Prabhu was the main celebrant. Fr Victor D'Silva, Fr Denis Rasquinha, Fr William Barochas Fr Stany B Lobo, Angelore parish priest, Fr Gratian
Alvares, assistant parish priest and Fr Stany Goveas, Rosary parish priest concelebrated.

After mass the ex-superiors, Sr Matilda D'Almeida, Sr Emily Lobo, Sr Rose Alexander, Sr Florine Nazareth, Sr Blanche Pinto and two helpers namely Magdaline and Monthy were honoured by Sr Irene Jane, the present provincial.

Sr Carmine, superior of the convent welcome the gathering and Sr Ann Rose compered the programme.

The convent was opened for the elderly and sick sisters of the congregation of the Sisters of Charity by Sr Ester Picciali, then provincial.
