Dubai : Lancy Noronha to Present Maiden Musical Nite

Dubai, Dec 19: Lancy Noronha, a versatile musician is all set to take-up a new venture of organizing a musical nite, ‘Lancy Nite’ on May 6 , 2011. The programme will be another milestone in his successful musical career.

Lancy and his singer wife Shyna are fully enthusiastic and confident that they would definitely touch the hearts of his fans as well as new listeners too.

Lancy Norohna, presently residing in Dubai has been composing, tuning and singing numerous devotional and other songs for a range of organizations and various occasions in Dubai and India. A friendly person by nature, Lancy has been dedicatedly contributing his time and talent for the music lovers.

Lancy’s latest music aptitude is evidenced in his recent popular CD ‘Mori Mai’ dedicated to Mother Mary, which was  released in 2007. Mori Mai is the first Konkani hymns CD composed by Lancy for the ‘Jesus Mary Joseph’ [JMJ] Prayer Group, the largest Konkani group of St Mary’s Church, Dubai. Melodious tunes and significant lyrics for all the hymns in this CD were composed by Lancy Noronha himself.

Lancy has always been successful in encouraging and introducing new talent to the Konkani music. Today many of new singers are fortunate enough to come forward  and display their music skills and surely the credit should go to Lancy as he had been patient enough to search for these talents, grooming them and providing opportunities to develop their skills.

Lancy has formed a musical group ‘SHYLAN in Dubai in 2008. The main objective of Shylan Group is to promote the culture and to keep the tradition of music alive, mainly in Konkani, by providing a platform to young and amateur artists to showcase their talent.
