Karnataka reports 68 deaths, 28,264 fresh Covid cases in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Jan 29: Karnataka on Sunday, January 29 registered 28,264 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 2,51,084. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 11,938.

As many as 68 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, the death toll in the state has risen to 38,942.

 

The state recorded 29,244 discharges from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges to 34,95,239.

So far, Karnataka has seen 37,85,295 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 16.38% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.24 %.

As many as 9,52,12,582 people have received vaccination so far.

    Today I went to hotel...There was police not wearing mask....In that hotel,people were not wearing mask and forming crowd despite there was police in the hotel....Police are not monitoring covid appropriate behavior of the people..Health Minister and health officials should visit and provide proper treatment to people in districts,villages and taluks to avoid deaths and also strict lockdown for 15 days should be implemented in villages and taluks
