Bengaluru, Jan 31: State BJP president and MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, who called up Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha and MLAs S A Ramdas and Nagendra, is learnt to have instructed them not to behave in a way that can embarrass the party and the government.
Currently, the MP and the MLAs are at loggerheads relating to digging of the roads to lay gas supply pipes in the city. They have openly traded charges and Kateel said that a signal that there is friction between the party leaders is being conveyed to the people. Kateel asked them not to violate the discipline of the party and advised them to behave more responsibly as the party is running the government in Karnataka.
He reportedly said that there is no bar on openly sharing the opinions about party organization and development matters. However, these issues should not be discussed in the presence of the media and the general public and there is the party forum to take such matters up, he is said to have told the legislators.
