Udupi, Jan 31: As there is a decrease in the number of Covid cases in the state after strict enforcement of Covid restrictions, deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M has released the following regulations in the district that will be effective from January 31 till February 15.
The current night curfew is withdrawn with effect from January 31.
Pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants can function to the seating capacity of 100 percent observing mandatory Covid protocol. The staff employed with them must have obtained a minimum of two doses of vaccines. Entry of non-vaccinated people should not be permitted.
The seating in cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres, auditoriums and such other places should not exceed 50 percent of the capacity observing Covid protocols. The staff here must have obtained two doses of vaccinations. Entry of non vaccinated people is banned here as well.
A maximum of 300 people can attend weddings outdoors and 200 indoors. Only upto 50 people can visit religious places provided they have received two doses of vaccination. Social, religious, political gatherings, protests, rallies, sit in protests, meetings, all types of processions are banned. Swimming pools, sports grounds, stadiums and gyms can function at 50 percent of their capacity.
The Covid restrictions announced by the union and state government should be strictly followed. The regulations by the health department, police department, pollution control board, fire service, district administration and other government departments should also be observed compulsorily, the DC instructed.
Cases under Disaster Management Act 2005 , Karnataka Epidemic Diseases act 2020 and IPC Section 188 will be registered in case of violations, stated DC Kurma Rao.
