Treat for Drama Lovers as 'Kannada Natakotsava' Kicks off in City

Mangalore, Dec 21:
 The three-day 'Kannada Natakotsava' organised under the joint auspices of the city's Kannada and culture department, Suvarna Pratishtana and Karnataka Drama Academy, Bangalore, kicked off at Town Hall here on Tuesday December 21.

While 'Urulu' was staged on Tuesday, 'Male Nilluvavarege' will be staged on Wednesday December 22, and 'Court Marshall' on Thursday December 23 at 6.30 pm. All the three dramas have been directed by Sadananda Suvarna.
 
Dr B V Rajaram, president, Karnataka Drama Academy, Bangalore inaugurated the ‘Natakotsava’ and said that wholehearted support by drama lovers in the city is expected on all the three days.
 
Mangala Naik, assistant director, Kannada and culture department presided over the programme.
 
At the valedictory ceremony of the drama festival on Thursday December 23 at 6.30 pm, film director Girisha Kasaravalli will preside. Dr Siddalinga Pattana Shetty, litterateur and Mangala Naik will be the chief guests.
