UAE: Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha Lift Mogaveers Cup-2010

Dubai, Dec 22: Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha emerged winners while Yuvaka Mandal Yermal came second in the Mogaveers Cup-2010, a premier league cricket tournament organised by Mogaveers UAE, an organization for Mogaveers of Karnataka. The matches were held at Zabeel Park recently.

Ten teams participated in the event which was witnessed by a large crowd of more than 300 sports enthusiasts.

The day-long fun-filled family get-together also included children’s drawing competition, various games and games for ladies along with four group skits.

The teams who participated were Vande Matharam, Mogaveera Uppala, Star Cricketers, Mogaveers Malpe, Yuvaka Mandal Yermal, Mogaveers Hejmady, Abu Dhabi Mogaveers 14, United Mogaveers, Rolla Tigers and Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha.


Final Score:

Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha 72/3 in 8 overs

Yuvaka Mandal Yermal 30 all out in 6.5 overs


Individual prizes:

Man of the series: Jayesh Suvarna (Yuvaka Mandal Yermal)

Man of the match final: Yogesh (Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha)

Best batsman: Soman Puthran (Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha)

Best bowler: Yashwind Puthran (Bengre Vidyarthi Sangh)

Kumar Mulky, Dubai and Chandrashakar R Salian, Abu Dhabi were the main sponsors. The other sponsors were MAZA, Union Beverages, Harish Amin, Sharjah; MASAFI Mineral water, Niranjan Padubidri, Dibba Masafi; Dhananjay Kanchan, Dubai; Rohit Kanchan, Dubai; Raviprakash Puthran, Alain; Yathish Puthran, Abu Dhabi; Jagdish Puthran, Dubai; Ganesh Sashihitlu, Dubai; Shashidhara Kotian, Sharjah; Sunil Chitrapur and Savannah Soap.

The prizes were jointly awarded by Lokesh V Puthran, president , BalaKrishna Salian, vice president, Vinod Kanchan, vice-resident and advisor Chandrashekar Salian. The individual prizes were presented by Satish Karkera, Mohit Bangera, Rohit Kanchan, Ravipraksh Puthran, Harish Amin, Niranjan Padubidri, Dhananjay Kanchan, Yatish Puthran, Jagdish Puthran and Sunil Chithrapur.

The ladies wing took full charge of children's drawing competition, games, ladies' games, tambola and group skits. The prize distribution was arranged by Laxmi B Salian and Shailaja Y Kotian.

The event was voiced by commentrator Vinod Shetty, Dubai, Mohammed Azeem, Abu Dhabi, Roshan Salian, Dubai and Mohit Bangera.

The programme concluded at 8 pm with a vote of thanks to all those who made the tournament a grand success.

      This is an example that hardwork,willingness and dedication would prove always better result. In addtion to Spectacular cricket match there were fun filled games for ladies and children and humorous skit with traditional touch which made all the members and guest engaged and amused through out the day. Overall this was a well organised event. Hope there will be much more entertainment and fun in forthcoming Anniversary programme which will be held in the month of Jan, 2011. Congrats and good luck to all UAE Mogaveers.

      Wow fantastic to see all mogaveeras in action. Let me congratulate all the particiapants who part took in this functiona and made this function a colourful one. My greetings to one and all. I would like to congratulate the team leader Mr Lokesh puthran for having taken the initative to make all the members meet at one point and show the soladirity of the mogaveeras. Congrats Mr Lokesh Puthran and his team Mogaveeras.       • Dubai Royal Challengers Cricket Club is pleased to announce the first ever DPL Rolling Trophy on MILLITRY ground (SHARJAH)

      Congrats to Bengre Vidyarthi Sangha for Winning the Finals Of Mogaveera Cup 2010. They Played like Professionals .
      Congrats to the Team Management & team of Abu Dhabi Mogaveers 14 for Entering the Semi Finals .
      We had a Nice time at Zabeel Park Last friday there was events for everbody from Tiny Tots to the Ladies , The Organisers Kept Everbody Busy Through out the day
      & all the credit should go to the organising commitee who Have Organised such a great event .
      The Performance of all the Kola Artist was up to mark , Hard to believe that all the participants gave such a wonderful performance in a very short notice which the organisers had given .
      Raviprakash Puthran Performance was one of the best i would request if any body has the video coverage of his performance , so that we can enjoy his performance again with our family & friends back home .
