Bangalore: Corrupt Ministers' List Given to Yeddyurappa - Governor

Bangalore, Dec 23 (IANS) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Governor H.R. Bhardwaj Wednesday intensified attack on each other over alleged corruption and land allotment scandals in Karnataka.

Bhardwaj, who has been demanding 'true picture' from chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa over his land deals and action against Reddy brothers over their alleged illegal iron ore mining, said late Wednesday that he had given 'list of corrupt ministers' to Yeddyurappa.

"I have a list of corrupt ministers. If you want it, come to Raj Bhavan (governor's official residence). I have given the list to the chief minister," Bhardwaj told reporters on the margins of a function here.

Bhardwaj's statement came within hours of Yeddyurappa ticking him off saying if the governor was not satisfied with the replies he had given regarding land deals he could not help it.

"I cannot satisfy every one. There is no need also," Yeddyurappa had told reporters in his hometown Shikaripura, about 330 kms from here, reacting to Bhardwaj saying he 'is not satisfied with chief minister's reply to his letter' on the charges against him.

Asked about Wednesday's BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) protest rallies across the county against corruption in the central government, Bhardwaj repeated "anybody who wants the list of corrupt ministers (in the state) can come to Raj Bhavan and take it."

The governor came under attack again by state BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa who said Wednesday that Bhardwaj wants to please Congress leadership and become a central minister again.

Bhardwaj was central law minister before his appointment as Karnataka governor.

Bhardwaj had written two letters to Yeddyurappa seeking explanation on charges that the chief minister had favoured his kin with prime land in and around Bangalore and on action taken against Reddy brothers, who are also ministers, over their alleged illegal iron ore mining.

He has said he would write one more letter to Yeddyurappa as he was not satisfied with the reply. Yeddyurppa is reported to have denied allegations against him as baseless.

On Reddy brothers, Yeddyurappa has told Bhardwaj that they do not have license to operate mines in Karnataka and they do so in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

Looks like Governer has forgotten the Costitution of India. He acts like a Congress agent, Mr.Moily visited him in the morning & later he he have the list of corrupt ministers & will distribute the list of corrupt Minister's list who ever want. That means he is acting just like a secretary of Veerappa Moily to distribute the list given by him. Governer has forgotten he cant call any person as corrupt, unless the court proves he is corrupt. It is applicable for any Party members. Secondly, my question to Hon.Governer is let him give the list of Non-corrupt Politician if any in Indian politics. What a shame to Governer. How any one can respect him?

Those who are supporting congress and Baradwaj, why our president Pratiba patil can not take simillar step at the centre? Why cant she write a letter to our PM and give the list of corrupt ministers? Y cant Maharastra, Tamilnadu governors cant write simillar letters to their respective CMs? So it is quite clear what is the hidden agenda of our Governor. What we can expect from a person from worst back ground as law minister? If you are against corruption we all support you, but please dont be ive.

As per this report Governor is demanding true picture over land deals. Which means he has been accusing on assumptions without true pictures. Further, he said he has the list of corrupt ministers, when asked about NDA's rally against UPA corruption. This shows his favouritism towards Cong. This man has specific task entrusted by Cong hicommand.

We have in memeory what the earlier
so called "Governer"of Andhra did. Governer has to be a facilitator and to govern in the absence of a Govt. It is better to mind their functions and to avoid getting involved in each and every aspect
and stalling the development in one pretext or the other as if like
    a commission agent.

It seems that Karnataka Governor has caught the ministers red handed. I request him to file FIR against each of the corrupt ministers and start legal proceedings. If he is busy, he can get the lawsuits filed by Congress leaders in Karnataka and proceed with the cases. The press gives too much importance to this old man and he was the organiser of the episode of moving rebel MLAs from one UPA ruled state to another. His accusation is just "Hit and Run". Recently Sonia talked about karnataka corruption and in return when BSY asked for proof, the Governor wrote to BSY seeking proof.

I think congress leadership has asked governor to irritate Yediyurappa every time and provoke him to take nasty step so that he can be blamed for every thing what is happening in Karnataka. What the governor is doing now is definitely not his job. I think governor knows this and may be reluctant to do what is imposed to him by congress leaders in Karnataka.

When the H’able Governor was the Law Mister, he defreeze the Bank Account of Ottavio Quattrocchi withdrew all case pending cases of Bofors scandal just before vote of trust on nuclear issue. Sent a letter to Raja opposing the allocation 2G spectrum but unable to stop the scandal just like our PM
Today NDTV is broadcasting a story of land grab by Narayan Rane & Co of Congress Party 30 acres of forest land worth Rs. 1000 crore in Pune was sold to a private builder for mere Rs. 2 crore at Pune.

Nobody ever filed a FIR or moved to the court against K'Ka land scam, just a media trial is not enough to gain political mileage keeping elections in mind.
