Udupi, Feb 3: District in-charge minister S Angara inaugurated the office of fisheries, ports and internal water transport at the DC complex at Rajatadri in Manipal on Thursday February 3.
Speaking to the reporters, after the inauguration, on the Hijab issue, Angara said, “We cannot do different rules for different colleges. We will follow action taken by the government. No one can frame rules as per their wish. The government has formed a committee of experts. A decision will be taken after holding discussion with district administration.
“Prelude meeting to the budget will be held on February 11 under the leadership of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai in Bengaluru. Before the meeting I will discuss with the local fishermen. Priority and stress will be given to the development of the district. I will be available to take petitions from public till the afternoon of Monday, February 7,” he said.
BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, state vice president Nayana Ganesh and city president Mahesh Takur were present.
