Little Haseena's Big Battle with Blood Cancer Calls for Help

Riyadh, Dec 26: Haseena was just like any another playful baby, smiling and chuckling in her mother's lap, until she was diagnosed with blood cancer.

The one-and-a-half-year-old toddler is now fighting for life within the four walls of the hospital, with medical gadgets in her mouth instead of a feeding bottle.

Haseena had been falling sick frequently, and when she was tested by pathologists in Mangalore, she was diagnosed to be suffering from blood cancer that needs intensive treatment. The KMC doctors advised her father to get her appropriate medical attention which could add at least another year to her young life. Unless the child is treated immediately, there is every chance that she might be in dire risk of succumbing to the disease.

Haseena is the daughter of Aboobakkar from Uppinangady who works as a coolie in the village on a daily basis. His earnings are hardly enough to make ends meet, and now he is in a tight spot with the extra burden of medical care for his little daughter. Though he is making all-out efforts to give her the best possible attention, he has been struggling to provide the required treatment. His financial condition has plunged him into despair and he is on the verge of losing hope for his daughter's life.
 
Good Samaritans Salih and Sayed Abubakker Thangal from AFS in Riyadh and Al-Khobar respectively have requested Daijiworld on behalf of the poor family to bring to light the medical condition of the girl and her family’s financial position, seeking monetary assistance from donors and philanthropists.
