Boost to Beary Literature: Ten Books by Various Authors Released

Mangalore, Dec 26: Ten books in Beary language were released at a programme held in Town Hall on Sunday December 26.

Rangayana Mysore director Prof Lingadevaru Halemane released the books.

The ten books are 'Nenel' by Ibrahim Thannirbavi, 'Tharavad' by U A Khasim Ullal, 'Nallo Theru' by K P Abdul Khadar Kutthetthur, 'Moilanji' by Hussain Katipalla, 'Nombala' by Pakruddin Iruvail, 'Kaladire Swarga' by Zubeda Gurupura, 'Nando Raya – Nando Samskruthi' by T A Aliyabba Jokatte, 'Pirsappad' by Ashraf Apolo Kalladka, 'Poomale' by various poets, 'Dapparo Paat' by Ibrahim Thannirbavi and Hussain Katipalla.

Academy president M B Abdur Rahman presided over the programme. Prof Dr M S Ashadevi of Maharani College of Science, Bangalore, and Abusalem Putthige, chief editor, Vartha Bharathi were the chief guests. Registrar of the academy Chandrahas Rai B welcomed the gathering and delivered the vote of thanks.

The books were sold at 15 percent discount on Sunday. A workshop on duff was organized from 10 am to 4 pm.
