Mangalore: Permannur Parish ICYM Unit Celebrates Ruby Jubilee

Mangalore, Dec 29: The ruby jubilee celebrations of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Sebastian parish, Permannur here was held, recently.

ICYM central committee director Fr Anil D’Souza offered the Thanksgiving Holy Mass in Permannur parish and the valedictory ceremony of Ruby jubilee celebrations was held in the evening.

Mangalore diocesan vicar general Monsignor Denis Moras Prabhu presided.

Fr Anil D’Souza inaugurated the programme.

ICYM regional director Fr Franklin D’Souza, Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) vice president Ivan D’Souza, ICYM city deanery director Fr Reginald Pinto, Sr Joseph Mary, Sr Michelle BS, Fr Fredrick Monis, ICYM central committee president Vincent Rodrigues, Harry Tellis, Joseph D’Souza were the chief guest of the occasion.

Cordel parish priest Fr Valerian Pinto, Ullal town panchayat president Basil D’Souza, ICYM Permannur parish unit spiritual director Fr Thomas D’Souza was present at the dais.

Fr Fredrick Monis released Laaram, Ruby memorial Konkani bulletin of Permannur parish unit of ICYM at the same occasion.

Fr Valerian Pinto felicitated Ullal town panchayat president Basil D’Souza, newly-elected Permannur parish council vice-president Lucas D’Souza and secretary Demetrius D’Souza during the programme.

A Konkani musical concert and variety entertainment programmes were held after the stage programme.    

Permannur ICYM unit president Rovin Monteiro welcomed the gathering.  Secretary Richard Veigas presented the annual report.  Raviraj D’Souza, Trishan D’Souza, Lavita Loyola D’Souza compered the programme.

    Congratulations ICYM Permanur, It was a very well organized prograame It would have been even better if the entertainment(music team) was good. The entertainment part was substandard, I t should have been even better for the occasion of Ruby Jubilee celebrations but i congratulate the youth of permanur for organizing such an event an being active in the parish and society. Keep going ICYM Permanur.
