Bengaluru, Feb 15: Karnataka home minister Araga Jnanendra on Tuesday Ferbruary 15 said that all precautionary and safety measures have been taken all over the state to make sure that law and order situation in the state does not vitiate, in the backdrop of the reopening of all the schools and colleges from Wednesday.
The minister was speaking to the members of the media.
He requested the students to engage in academic activities without any apprehensions, fears or feeling of insecurity.
"Some religious organizations, by using innocent students as shields, have been trying to break the society and divide the minds. We will identify such forces and take legal steps. Necessary orders have already been issued," he said.
To a question, the minister noted that only a handful of students are insistent on wearing Hijabs when attending schiools. He expressed the view that this may not be their genuine concern. He called upon the people to conform to the interim order of the high court and follow the orders scrupulously.
