Mangalore: New Year Bonanza for Tuluvas - 'Pani Pani Barsa' CD Released

Mangalore, Jan 1: 'Pani Pani Barsa,' Tulu album of Arthur Pereira Omzoor was released at Milagres Senate Hall on Saturday January 1 here at 11.30 am by well known Kannada-Tulu litterateur Prof Amruth Someshwar. The city-based Maa Creations are the producers of the album.

Speaking on the occasion he said that Tuluvas never forget two things, their mother and mother tongue. He appreciated the hardwork of Tuluvas in gulf and other foreign countries and added ‘Pani Pani Barsa’ music album may bring cheer to Tuluvas all over the world who are staying far from their native. He ironically stated that terrorists would not have existed in the world if their mothers helped them become music lovers. 

Another guest on the occasion, Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief, Daijiworld.com said that Arthur Pereira is an accomplished Kannada-Konkani-Tulu poet who has won best lyricist Global Music Award for his Konkani album 'Taaram. He wished all success for his dream project ‘Pani Pani Barsa’.

Manohar Prasad, guest of honour said that no other component will unite us for any cause like music oes. He also said people of Tulunadu all over the world expect more melodious songs by Arthur Pereira in many years to come.

UAE Bunts' Association and Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangh president Sarvottam Shetty, Mumbai’s Sangeet Abhinay Academy director Fr Charles Vas, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy registrar Chandrahas Rai and Dubai-based Merit Freight Private Limited’s managing director Joseph Mathias were the guests of honour. 

Naveen Koppa abd Joseph Mathias Soumya Bhat and group staged musical orchestra of Tulu songs enthralled the gathering.

After the mega success of 'Taaram,' Maa Creations launched their dream venture – 'Pani Pani Barsa.'  It contains melodious songs composed by Arthur Pereira and sung by  playback singers Anuradha Bhat, Hemanth, Harsha Usha Kokila, Manjunath, Subramanyam along with Raviraj Tantry and Joseph Mathias. Sandalwood popular music director Cajetan Dias is the music director of 'Pani Pani Barsa.' Sandalwood musicians Alwyn Fernandes, Butto and Saju have also contributed their music.

The album has been recorded at Eden Diji Studio, Bangalore and mixing and balancing has been done at Dynamic Studio, Bangalore. NRI entrepreneur Ronald Colaco is the main sponsor of the album.
