Mangalore, Jan 3: In an incident of love-affair between a boy of upper caste and girl belonging to a lambani community, the Women Police Station officials led by PSI Girija came to the aid of the girl when she needed it the most and helped her get married to the guy she loved.

It is gathered that the Boy, Raghavendra( 24), hailing from Gadag, who was working in a hotel near statebank here was in love with a girl, Uma(20) who was working as a sweeper in a nearby residence named Kandukamane.

The two were in love since two years but the boy’s family especially his father was against their relationship as the girl belonged to the lower caste. Due to his father’s opposition Raghavendra was also refusing to marry  Uma.

Failing to convince both Raghavendra and his father Uma, who was already two-month pregnant sort the help of Women police sub-inspector (PSI) Girija. She warned Raghavendra’s family to let the boy to marry her failing which strict action would be taken.

Following this, the two tied the knot at Mahalingeshwara temple, Pandeshwar here on Monday Januray 3.

Bajrangadala and BJP combine are good only for tying knot to people who sit together in parks on Valentine's day. Rama Sene chief is nowhere to be found to help such needed cases. They are good for taking yellow flags and go in a procession. Police inspector Girija has done a fantastic job in reconciling the two families, perhaps even convincing them that their love is sacred and goes beyond all caste and creed. Jai Ho Police force. Its hard on parents to accept such situation easily. They have given their complete life to raise their kids and in the end they treat the parents like enemies.
KIDS : THYE DONT SEE PARENTS PAIN THE TEARS AT ALL. LOVE IS BLIND ANYWAY!

Thanks to the SI for helping the girl. I would like to ask where are the Senas(Ram Sene/Bajrang dal) now? If guy was Christian/Muslim, I would think the guy would have been thrashed by now. Sene members wont be there to help the real cause. They'll be there to get some cheap publicity.
