Bengaluru, Feb 23: Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan has announced a financial assistance of Rs 10 lac to the family of the recently murdered Hindu activist Harsha in Shivamogga recently.
The minister, who spoke to the mother of the deceased victim over telephone from Bengaluru on Wednesday, February 23 evening, said the financial assistance will be provided through the Dr C N Ashwath Narayan Foundation.

“The BJP government in the State is committed to ushering in harmony. In a society, disputes and disagreements as well as differences were natural in a civilised society. But the incident in Shivamogga is most dastardly and inhuman,” he said and asserted that the government will identify the forces and individuals in the Shivamogga incident soon and ensure that they are dealt with sternly.
