Let BJP Answer Who’s Most Corrupt Yeddy or PM, Asks Gowda

Bangalore, Jan 7: JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda ridiculed BJP’s demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh without any shred of evidence on its alleged corruption charges in the 2G Spectrum scam when the saffron party had maintained ``total silence” against the proven charges of corruption, nepotism, favouritism and other irregularities in various land scams against Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.

"Let the BJP national leadership and the Sangh Parivar first answer who is most corrupt?,” he said wondering whether a person known for his probity and integrity like the Prime Minister could ever be compared with a person like Yeddyurappa ,who had shamelessly granted precious prime land worth crores of rupees to his sons, daughters, sons in laws and other relatives besides being guilty of various irregularities including denotification of valuable government lands.

“What moral right do they have to speak about Manmohan Singh? If they have minimum decency and an iota of shame, Yeddyurappa should have been asked to step down,” the former prime minister said lambasting the BJP national high command and the Sangh Parivar for shamelessly remaining silent after Yeddyurappa refused to obey their directives to resign.

Continuing his tirade against the Yeddyurappa government, he said the Yeddyurappa regime was the worst in the history of Karnataka.

The BJP leaders are attacking Manmohan Singh over the Bofors scandal, which was nothing but a ``petty” matter when compared to the huge scams in Karnataka amounting to Rs 1 lakh crore. It is one of the heinous acts of the BJP central leadership to support this worst-ever and most corrupt government, he said.

The former Prime Minister said that he had sent a booklet published by his JD(S) party on the ‘corruption’ of Yeddyurappa government to senior leaders of BJP including, L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.

``I want to know what action these champions of democracy and probity in public life are going to do on the proven corruption charges against Yeddyurappa,” he said.  Gowda wanted to know the stand of Arun Jaitely, who incidentally is the designated party in-charge for Karnataka, on the corruption charges against Yeddurappa. He pointed out that the Karnataka governor H R Bhardwaj had provided details and documentary evidence on the charges against the Yeddyurappa regime when Jaitely called on the Raj Bhavan recently.

The JD(S) national president said it was the duty of all secular parties to join forces to oust the communal and corrupt Yeddyurappa regime.

On national interst One can not underestimate corruption at recently by Congress led govt in centre.Similarly one can not understimate the irregularities of Yeddy Government In karnataka. Both are going hand to hand clearly and very very bad .Only consolation is Congress is ready to take action against corruption and culprits . But PM becomes responsible in the sense how such things went unnoticed in a upcoming nation like India? In case of Gadkari is more worse, the guy is not ready to admit mistake and not ready to take action against Yeddy at all and morever supporting this Yeddy .How can we trust BJP in future?I feel congress is better than BJP.

Why compare cat to Lion. Similarly why to compare CM to PM.
Is the current PM in way corrupt? Is he or his family memebers have been alloted any prime land in Delhi or any Cospoloitan city ?
Mr. Deve Gowda should compare CM to Kumar Swamy which will make sense in terms of corruption. All these corrupt money amassed do anybody think they will enjoy it?
Thou one sows thou will reap it.

Mr.Devegowda is too much worrying about the party position of BJP in Karnataka. If BJP is becoming strong in Karnataka this Gowda has to go back to his home. Just for his personal benefit he is behind this BJP govt. If BJP central command offering his son to make chief minister of karnataka then he will start to talk against congress.Person with no words and no princeples only looking personal benefit.

It seems Gowda family is more worried by the recent election results and foresee what Laloo tasted in Bihar and the situation is like fish thrown out of water.
However, in short time it is going
    to be dead.

Mr. Deve Gowda is correct. He was also corrupt, but Yeddy has beaten all records. Please do not underestimate JDS. In the recent ZP/TP elections BJP has fared badly in some places like Mandya, Hassan & Tumkur, in spite of the fact that BJP is in power and spent crores of rupees in luring the voters. BJP is scared of Yeddy and that is why they do not remove him. All are corrupt but BJP is most corrupt. It is sad but very much true! I was a strong supporter of BJP but I do not trust any party.

    Dear Mr. Thomas:

Your assessment is not very right. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Is the 1st President of India the best and then Dr. Zaqir Hussain, and Dr. Radha Krishnan. Among the PMs Jawaharlal then Lal Bahadur Shasthri, Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi and Mr. Manmohan Singh. Mr. Vajpayee was good but inwardly very communal. About coruption I do not wish to name anyone as I have not seen but Mr. Manamohan Singh is the cleanest PM to day inspite of corruption every where in India. I do not wish to name the party but India may be one of the great county in corruption unless it is eradicated, there will be no progress other than in News papers. Indians should have the national spirit and not communal and linguistic spirit. Let the religious people like Swamigjis, Mullas and Priests come out of Politics. Their names should not be published in the news papers. Public should not encourage them.

India had great Presidents like Dr. S. Radha Krishna and A P J Abdul Kalam. India also had Presidents like Zail Singh and Fakrudin Ali Ahmed. India had great Prime Ministers Jawahalal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Sastri, Vajpayee etc.. India also had a Prime Minister who most of the time was sleeping open. Sheer luck gifts positions sometime to the undeserving who brings shame to the post one holds. Assume a secular tag abuse Hinduism and cradle Islam and Christianity. In this Once upon a time great country even an unworthy can shine and talk hollow if the secular tag is tied to it. .
