Mangalore: Cheers to Youth Vigour at Annual Day Celebration of Malnad Youth Association

Mangalore, Jan 9: Malnad Youth Association, an endeavour of Malnad students studying in the city held its ninth annual day celebration at T V Raman Pai Hall near Navabharath Circle here on Sunday January 9.

Encounter specialist Daya Nayak inaugurated the programme.

In his speech he said that Malnad Youth Association through its ventures such as health check-up and blood donation camps have been contributing to the nation in its own way. He also thanked the organizers for inviting him for the programme and said even police officers expect plenty of love and affection from the public at large.

Narrating his past life where he had struggled for daily bread in Mumbai, he said one should have specific goal in life. A work for good cause always gives fruits for us later, he added. Even after hit by eight bullets at vital part of the body during his encounter operation, he could sustain the same passion for his work, he said.

Shrikar Prabhu, BJP president of south constituency was the guest of honour.

He said that Malnad is a heavenly land rich by picturesque nature. He commended the good relation shared between Malnad and Tulunadu that has been existent since long. 

Guests on the occasion Girijashankar Joshi, INRC Racer and Shrikanth Gowda, MRF Team Racer were traditionally honoured with peta, shawl and mementos by Daya Nayak.

Deekshith A D, chaiman, Avinand Achanahalli, president, Malthesh, secretary, Goutham Kadidal, vice-president, Prathik, treasurer and Anusha M, joint secretary among others were present.

Achievers, founder members of Malnad Youth Association and new office-bearers were also honoured. Entertainment programmes followed.
