Daijiworld Media Network – Riyadh (MS)

Riyadh, Mar 3: All activities related to construction and demolition are banned by the municipality of Riyadh during the night. From Maghrib prayer call (around 5 to 6 pm) to 7 am the next day no activities in this connection will be carried out.

Tweeting on its account, the municipality of the city said that the violators will have to pay a find of SR 10000. The main reason cited is to keep calm and peace in residential areas after sunset.

During last summer working in the sun was prohibited by the ministry of social development and human resources from 12 noon to 3 pm which continued till end of September. The main aim of this decision was to prevent labourers suffering from heat stroke and exhaustion.
