Mangalore, Jan 12:
“The spirit of brotherly love for religion, God and nation instilled in Swami Vivekananda made him to adore India. Initially who loved his nation gradually started adoring the sanctified soil of the land. Hence young generation should walk on the path shown by Swami Vivekananda in order to develop patriotism”, said MP Nalin Kumar Katil.

He was speaking after inaugurating the National Youth Day celebration held to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and also the district level folk art variety programme held at Town Hall, here on Wednesday January 12.

The programme was organized under the joint aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mangalore, NSS, Mangalore University and Sri Mahalingeshwara Daya Friends Circle, Adyar.

Speaking further he said during his travels all over India, Swami Vivekananda was deeply moved to see the appalling poverty and backwardness of the masses.  He then formulated a definite philosophy of service, and organized large-scale social service to evade people from darkness of poverty, noted Nalin.

He also said the youth these days seem to understand the importance of peace, love and brotherhood as earlier cases like stone pelting, involving in strike and boycott have vanished gradually. This is a good movement, he added.

S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, D K district Kannada Sahithya Parishad presided over the programme. Purushottham Bhandary, owner of Tyre Care Adyar and Rtn Anand Shetty, owner of Anand trades, Adyar were the chief guests.

Mr Nalin Kumar, we, Janata who voted for you expect much more from you than giving speeches and cutting ribbons. Is it because you know next election you will not be given ticket therefore you are not doing what as a member of parliament you are supposed to do to your constituency? If everybody follow in his footsteps then there will be peace between all communities & religions.
He is a True Nationalist & the one who really practiced what he preached, unlike those people who have adopted him to further their narrow minded phylosophy.
