Mangaluru, Mar 5: A day-long district level day-night Kabaddi tournament, ‘Pro Kabaddi’, was inaugurated here at Sultan Battery ground on Saturday March 5, organized by Bathery Friends in association with District Amateur Kabaddi Association and Mangaluru Taluk Amateur Kabaddi Association.

Addressing the gathering, corporator Jagadish Shetty said, “Games like Kabaddi will motivate youngsters to get into sports. Kabaddi is a sport which is loved by all. A platform is given to the youngsters to perform so that they can take the next step to a bigger stage.”

Managing director of Daijiworld Media, Walter Nandalike said, “When I look at the way the Kabaddi tournament is organized here, my respect towards Bathery Friends has doubled. I wish the very best for all the players taking part in the tournament.”

Jimmy Joseph, distributor, Jeeni millet health mix, unveiled trophy for the tournament.
