Bengaluru, Mar 6: The Kamakshipalya police have arrested a 37-year-old man, who used to sexually harass women including lawyers and policewomen by sending them obscene messages and videos. It is estimated that more than 100 women are harassed by him.
Divyaraj, native of Madhugiri of Tumkur is the arrested accused. He used to introduce himself under different names like Krishna, Ramakrishna, Manjunath, Chool, Prashanth and Praveen.
There are 14 cases registered against the accused Divyaraj in various police stations. He had challenged the police to arrest him and evaded arrest for the past six months.
DCP has requested the victims of the accused to approach the police station under which their residence falls.
Accused Divyaraj has confessed with the police that he used to get thrill by sexually harassing women. It has also come to light that the accused had physical relations with some of his victims. According to police, Divyaraj used to get the contact details of lawyers on the pretext of providing legal help for his friends.
Similarly, he used to get contact details of women police personnel on the pretext of helping women folk to file complaint.
