Moodbidri: Thousands of Students in Athletic Meet of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges

Moodbidri, Jan 15: The annual ‘Athletic Meet 2010-11’ of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges, was held at Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology premises at Thodar here on Saturday January 15.
The sport meet was inaugurated by Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the prominence of sports and games in life.
Dr M R Shetty, founder secretary of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust presided over the function. Dr Divyanjali Shetty, trustee, and Dr Sandeep J Nayak, principal of MVSIT were the guests of honour.
Lathamani, principal, college of medical lab-technology welcomed the guests. Manohar, physical director proposed the vote of thanks. Principals of all the trust colleges were present on the occasion. Over 1,500 students actively took part in the sports meet.
