Mangalore, Jan 16: The economic policy of central government and administrative system have resulted hike in petrol price and that of essential commodities which has become a major concern, said  BJP National president Gadkari.

He was addressing the reporters at the city airport, Bajpe here on Sunday January 16.

Speaking further Gadkari pointed out that this is the third time the price of petroleum products and essential commodities have gone up but the government has not taken any measures to curb it. If the rates of basic products increase this way, lay man will have a lot of difficulty in coping with it, he added.

He said the BJP ministers will raise the issue in the parliament and demand immediate measures. Yet the government doesn’t heed to their demands, they will hold intense protests, he warned.

State Higher education minister Dr V S Acharya, district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar and deputy speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly Yogish Bhat among others were present.

Mr. Kari.. First of all control your body. In India the prices of commodities are going high because of people like you around us. Take care of Your stomach which is moving before you. Try to get 6 pack instead of your rice pack.

Demand and supply atmosphere will determine
    the course of inflation or
    deflation. Indian consumers are
    buying automobiles like shopping
for clothings, and the demand for oil will be increasing every day.

    But Mr. Gadkari is trying
to use inflation topic, simply to
    instigate his party followers.

Indeed, he knows the real pain of
the ordinary people who are waiting in
line with a shock before purchasing basic food in a jute
or plastic bag. If he has any
    concern for the suffering people,
let him give away a good percentage
of his wealth exclusively to the
    BJP followers. Then, let him
    lament about inflation and finding
    fault with the Congress government!

How he got so rich? Spending
Rs.25 crores for his son's marriage
and messing up the air traffic
    system at Nagpur airport with
relation to the marriage? Very clearly it shows
that he is a simple and real humanitarian with
    greater compassion and concern for
the suffering people of India, who
    are suffocating under the load
    of inflation.

Since the game of politics is
    emotional, not rational in nature
    politicians can invent fictions
    like history.

    Jatin
Prices are rising not because of Manmohan Singh, it is we people responsible for it, If we would have controlled population we would have not been in the present situation. Take for instance Mangalore SEZ around 4,000 acres of farm land have been acquired for industries to generate employment for the growing population, which means at one end supply of food items is getting reduced at the same time population is increasing naturally there will be shortage. We should thank god because Manmohan Singh is our PM. If Advani or Modi would be ruling then.........

Hi Gadkari..welcome to Mangalore.Make as many as comments possible because here we have BJP rule so no arrest and no thamasha. One reminder Karnataka is the only state where we have highest price rise,e.g. petrol. So if you want do something really cut down your own size and that will save so much of consumption and price rise too.

    Mr. Nitin Gadkari,
Can you tell us from where you get the Rs. 25 crores you spend on your son’s lavish wedding?
Did you get the money from Reddy brothers or Yedurappa?
Your mindless spending leads to unnecessary inflation but I wonder if you understand economics.

Certainly issue of price rise is bit of worrying factor not for Mr Gadkeri alone but for mass. There is no justification in the increase of petrol price which again may increase inflation. We are already in double digit inflation in foods and again increasing fuel prices means supporting coroporate wrold.

Deregulation of petrol products amied @ helping corporate world which may reason for doom for any Party Govt in centre. If you analize any Federal Budget of succesive govts, we can see govts are more interested @ safegaurding Bussiness n Industrilist's interest rather than 80% Poor's.
Govt should think of lifting Central exise on Fuel may ease the price a bit which can bring some reprive.

MR jatin, in economic terms when "purchasing power of considerable bunch of people rises there must be price rise which may lead to inflation.By the by is MR Gadkeri also irked by the proposed increase of milk by KMF @ RS 4/Lt?

Coming in karnataka where BJP is ruling and giving this statement shows the calibere of BJP National president. If Government is ruling in center then what state government is doing here. Just trying to save their government by either disqualifying their own MLAs or disqualifaying opposition MLAs to keep their numbers correct in Vidhana Sauda. Rest Governace of state pushing to centre?

What do you say about iminent power hike d by Shobhakka immediately after ZP/TP election Mr. Gadkari ? Infact, lay men are less affected by petrol and diesel price hike compared to power price hike. Don't try to fool people of Mangalore, especially of Bajpe.....better find U.P. or Bihar.

Barking Janatha Party (BJP) does nothing else to do they have to lead by example being corruption free, Yeddy and BJP/RSS in Kartnataka are the worst party in history, BJP and Congress are sides of same coin. Both these parties should be in power for at least Ten years in order sweep off the disease of the Indian society.

Very nice to see ghati baboon in Bajpe. Certainly he will pollute the air around our lovely Bajpe. One can make out how much he is worried about lay man by seeing his face and belly. He and his team has already occupied 90% of land around Bajpe airport and now they show concern about lay man. It is a pity that jobless people always surround the useless leaders.

What can the govt do when the price of petrol is hiked at an international level? we import 60% (approx) of our crude import. This is not a micro issue but a macro one. If Inflation has to be curbed, we need to have a interest free economy. If you guys have time, conduct a sutdy on how Interest free economy stabilizes the economy & inturn stabilising individuals. Donot consider politicains as your saviours - they try to make full use of the opportunity provided to them - and when i say this, i mean all - Congress, BJP, etc.

Gadkari!!! When our dear PM has already said that ,price rise is due to ” Poor people getting richer and spending more on food” It should be the poor people to be blamed and not the Congress government. I still wonder what happened to his huge bunch of degrees he achieved. The knowledge he gained is of no use until utilized properly. The middle class are badly affected without any savings and worser with the poor people. Let there be still more price rise and we will not complaint about our financial burden since we are more worried about Yeddys chair then our cup of tea which has come down to a Sip of Tea from Cup of Tea!!! Due to the increase in prices. JAI CONGRESS and JAI AAM ADMI ( Mango man and not Common man)
