Bangalore, Jan 18: A day after flying to Mumbai for holding consultations with BJP national president Nitin Gadkari on the fluid political situation in the state over the reported moves of Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj on considering the request of two city-based lawyers for prosecuting Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa over the alleged land scam and other charges, the chief minister on Tuesday air-dashed to Delhi for further discussions with other senior members of the party high command.

In a related development, the Governor on Tuesday confirmed that he was seriously examining the request of the two lawyers -- Sriranjan Basha and K N Balraj – of the Justice Lawyers Forum seeking the sanction for prosecuting Yeddyurappa.

''It is under consideration. There are so many angles. It is a very ticklish issue,” the Governor told reporters, explaining that the matter was serious and complicated as several aspects were involved. ''I can’t take a hasty decision,” he said.

The Governor had written to the chief secretary S V Ranganath to furnish all official documents pertaining to various allegations on the allotment of ''G” category sites to Yeddyurappa’s sons and other close family members, land denotifications and other charges of nepotism and favouritism with regard to BDA and KIADB by January 20.

Documents pertaining to Urban Development, Revenue, Mining and Industries Department had also been reportedly requested by Raj Bhavan.

The State Cabinet, which normally meets on Thursday or Friday every week, held a special early morning meeting and the Chief Minister left for Delhi with some of his trusted senior cabinet colleagues soon after the cabinet meeting in the morning itself.

Yeddyurappa is expected to meet BJP’s opposition leader in the Rajya Sabha and pointsman for Karnataka, Arun Jaitely, and other top leaders including L K Advani on the strategy to be adopted to face the political situation if the Governor were to give his consent for prosecuting the chief minister.

The Congress and JD(S) leaders, who have been frequently meeting the Governor, are believed to be exterting pressure on Bhardwaj to take action against the Yeddyurappa regime.

Those crying fowl Yedyurappa's indulgence in corrupt matters should understand that the people at large know the game plan currently envisaged to dislodge Yedyurappa and BJP from power.Corruption in BJPs rule in Karnataka is of peanut value compared to alleged mega scams in 2 G specttrum,CWG and Adarsh Hsg soceity. In Karnataka it is only pick pocketeering where at centre it is a day light docoity.Even if Yedyurappa recommends for the dissolution of assembly now to pave way for fresh elections BJP will come out with flying colors at thumping majority.

As per Mr.Gadkari ,Mr.Yeddyurappa is legally correct but morally wrong.A morally wrong person will be dragged to the courts ,nothing wrong with it.We, the friends of the BJP are sorelly disappointed. The BJP claims it is 'different',Mr. Yeddy should have been both legally and morally correct. There should never been any link to the priveleges he distributed and the private wealth he possess.

Of course BJP needs to act at the earliest and show the door to Yeddyurappa but at the same time the Governor must be called back as he seems to act on a single minded mission to settle score with BJP and still has not washed his color from Congress party....in Karnatake there seems to run a race to show the other back...the Gowdas are the most corrupt one and people are aware of their true colors...but at the same time Yeddurappa must step down to save his party from embrassment or he must be ousted..
