Bengaluru, Mar 14: State JD(S) President and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday, March 14 held a preliminary meeting with the leaders of seven districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada on the preparations for the party’s forthcoming Janata Jaladhare campaign on irrigation issues.
The other districts included Raichuru, Vijayapura, Bagalakote and Koppal.
The dates and detailed programme will be announced after meeting the leaders from all districts in the next few days, Kumaraswamy said.
The Janata Jaladhare campaign is being launched covering all the 15 sacred river confluences by collecting water.
The JD(S) leader asked all the party leaders and workers to sincerely work for the success of the campaign on the injustices faced by Karnataka under the rule of BJP and Congress.
Legislators and party leaders including K N Thippeswamy, Devanand Chavan, B D Patil, Sunitha Chavan, Siddu Bandi, Karemma, Ganape Gowda, Sumathi Heggade, Mohammed Althaf, Dinakar Ullal, Jaffer Sulia and Jacky Madhav participated in the meeting.
