Riyadh, Jan 19: The central and eastern regions of Saudi Arabia experienced continuous rainfall on Tuesday January 18, causing minor accidents and inundating some of the areas.

The rain began with a drizzle on Monday January 17 night, but by next day turned into heavy downpour.

It was cloudy and visibility on the road was very low and only a few vehicles could be seen plying with their hazard lights on. The number of vehicles on the road towards the evening was even less.

Shops and other mini-supermarkets were closed early while schools remained closed on Wednesday January 19.
